About the Role

The Uber Engineering Summer Internship program is a unique opportunity for Bachelor (3rd or 4th year), Master and PhD students who are passionate about technology to work alongside our community of engineers and bridge the gap between academic theoretical knowledge and practical professional experience.

You have good knowledge of at least one the programming languages used at Uber (e.g. Java, Go, Swift, Python, JavaScript).
• A great teammate. You believe that you can achieve more on a team — that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. You rely on others' candid feedback for continuous improvement.
• Self-starter. You have superior organizational skills, integrity and great follow through on tasks. You don't get overwhelmed easily.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Actively pursuing a Bachelor (3rd or 4th year), Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline

• Experience in at least one of the programming languages used at Uber (e.g. Java, Go, Swift, Python, JavaScript).
• Demonstrated software engineering experience through previous internships, work experience, hackathons, coding challenges, and/or publications.
• Available for a minimum of 4 months and a maximum of 6 months
• Available to start the internship from September 2019 or earlier
