Scrum Master - Grid Investments | working in a complex IT environment - Amsterdam

As a Scrum Master having experience within complex IT environment  you ensure the optimum performance of one or more blocks (teams) within the Grid. In fact: you are the servant leader of these blocks. This means that you help your colleagues to create successful multi-skilled teams with self-organizing characteristics and a drive for continuous improvement.

As a Scrum Master you are responsible for the improvement of your block(s) in terms of (speed of) delivery, quality, cooperation and development. Together with the block, you ensure a mature team in the Agile way of working, CICD and prepare for your moonshot: the DevOps way of working.

You will work as a Scrum Master in the CIO Private Banking and Corporate & Institutional Banking. Within the CIO there are several domains consisting of multiple grids. Each grid is a clearly and logically defined cluster of blocks with end-to-end responsibility for one or more product groups, channels or enablers, in this case the most interesting, but also complex one: Investments.

A Block is a multidisciplinary collaborative unit consisting of professionals from the Business Lines and the IT organization, who work together autonomously towards one goal. The Block may consist of a mix of employees of ABN AMRO, IBM (Amsterdam) and TCS (Amsterdam, Mumbai, Bangalore). So, English is the main language. Within the Grid, the Scrum Master reports to the IT Engineering Lead, who in turn reports to the IT Delivery Lead.

You ideally have the following background:

- Higher professional education (HBO) graduate

- Five year's relevant work experience in a complex IT environment

- Experience as a Scrum Master

More specifically, you have:
- PSM 1
- Knowledge of software development processes
- Affinity with the technical aspects of software development
- Knowledge of change management, servant leadership, coaching, conflict resolution, continuous improvement
- Knowledge and understanding of (internal) IT architecture
- Experience working in a multi-vendor IT-sourcing environment
- Knowledge and drive for scaled Agile methods and procedures (Agile partnerships between several Scrum teams)
- Substantive knowledge of the field in which the Block operates
- Eagerness for new ways of working
