You are an energetic Chapter Lead with expertise in setting up CoE for applications development across various multi technologies where Pega being the core technology but not limited to, build cross cultural teams of application development, Leading the technical teams in a highly competitive, deep knowledge in one infrastructure-related topic. You are at least a competent Dev Engineer, and this will be your role in the squad for 60% of your time. You will develop consumable, end-to-end infrastructure services for your consumers together with your squad. You are able to move all typical user stories and tasks from “To-Do” to “Done”.
The remaining 40% you spend on building up expertise in your chapter and developing your chapter members. You are enthusiastic about transferring your knowledge to others, and about coaching around 5-7 members of your Chapter and oversee their personal development.
What you do (Capabilities)
1. Deliver full infrastructure service to the consumer
a. Develop consumable, standardized infrastructure services (resilient, high quality, highly automated and up-to-date)
b. Support and educate consumers on using the standardized infrastructure services (consumer is responsible for their own instances)
c. Implement mandatory security standards
d. Develop an ecosystem of tools to provide self-service capabilities to the consumer
2. Apply continuous delivery practices
a. Manage all resources in version-controlled repositories (incl., code, scripts, configurations, artefacts, static resources)
b. Refactor and reuse existing code/modules/functionality
c. Write fully automated tests (e.g., unit-, functional-, non-functional- and integration testing)
d. Build, enhance and maintain tooling and scripts to automate repetitive or error prone tasks
e. Develop micro services and APIs
3. Apply and improve DevOps way of working
a. Implement user stories from backlog as agreed with the Product Owner, without spending time on work outside the backlog
b. Participate rigorously in DevOps rituals (e.g. daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review, retrospective, peer reviews)
c. Continuously improve yourself, your squad and the service
i. Conduct root cause analysis to identify service improvements
ii. Actively ask for feedback and coaching for improvement
iii. Provide feedback to squad members to avoid waste
d. Collaborate within and across squads to understand your services end-to-end
4. Developing skills of employees within Chapter
a. Advise Product Owner and Infra Area Lead on resource planning
b. Provide regular feedback, coaching and mentoring to Chapter members and
c. Align individual and overall performance of the Chapter, and identify top performers with Infra Area Lead
i. Evaluate performance of Chapter members
ii. Ensure training opportunities are available as required
iii. Support recruiting of talents (e.g. interview applicants)
5. Developing specific knowledge
a. Stay up to date on your topic and apply your learnings in an Infra NL context
b. Regularly organize alignment meetings on Chapter specific topics to update colleagues on new developments
c. Define standards and best practices for Chapter

Your education and background
Professional and intellectual IT ability at university level - at least Bachelor's degree
Extensive experience in both engineering and leadership roles in Agile teams, e.g. as Scrum Master, Product Owner, DevOps Engineer
Track record of developing people and knowledge through coaching or mentoring
Certifications and/or proven proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages
Excellent command of spoken and written English
