Total Facility Management (TFM) is a specific form of outsourcing, whereby all operational Real Estate (RE) and Facility Services (FS) processes and associated management activities are outsourced.

Implementation of TFM constitutes a transformational change aimed at reducing costs by increasing efficiency (economies of scale), simplifying by increasing standardisation, improving cost visibility/transparency and streamlining the ING organization, whilst maintaining or improving service levels. Implementation of TFM is in line with the ING strategy “unite”, as it simplifies and streamlines the FM and RE function, helping us to collaborate better across borders and innovate much.

Recently ING made the decision to outsource (part of) Real Estate (RE) and Facility Services (FS) activities of 9 countries to one supplier via a Total Facilities Management (TFM) model.  The TFM Program is done in partnership with the external TFM Supplier and in close cooperation with the local REFS organisations in the countries (Tier 1).

TFM is part of the Global Corporate Real Estate and Facility Services (Global CREFS) department. The essence of the team is focussed on delivering a strong contribution in realising the goals of the TFM Program and Global Corporate Real Estate.

In order to financially manage TFM and Corporate Real Estate we are looking for a result driven Principal Finance & Control with strong analytical skills.

Job description

Main objectives and key responsibilities of the job include:

• Liaise with (local) finance departments, the external TFM Supplier and Staff departments regarding financial matters in the field of Global CREFS
• Prepare, distribute and analyse the quarterly Benefit tracking reports for all countries in scope of the TFM program
• Provide support to countries regarding the financial principles of the contractual agreements with the external TFM Supplier
• Identify, monitor and lead the developments regarding financial reporting
• Validate, update and prepare business cases related to TFM and RE
• Validate, challenge, mediate and track (financial) changes in the local TFM charging schedules together with the country representatives
• Consolidate, challenge and report on global CREFS financial performance
• Challenge, review and support on local ATF and SNOW reporting related to the program
• Provide financial guidance to the countries
• Provide input for group reporting
• Apply local due diligence's and/or audits where applicable
• Support in contract renegotiation's
• Work in close collaboration with the Finance Lead Global CREFS

Your profile

To be successful in this position the following competences are required:

• Master degree in Finance or Accounting
• Broad experience in Finance
• Preferably knowledge in the field of Real Estate and Facility Management and/or outsourcing  
• Strong analytical skills
• A hands on mentality
• Result and solution driven
• Accurate
• Advanced Excel skills
• A strong communicator, building relationships within the international team as with other stakeholders
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal
