Senior Combat Systems Designer in Amsterdam

Guerrilla’s Amsterdam studio is most recently known for Horizon Zero Dawn. We’re currently looking for a Senior Combat Systems Designer to join our team.

Beschrijving

What you will do
  • You will partner closely with the Game Director to establish the vision and pillars for Combat;
  • You will be responsible for the design and development of features and systems needed to achieve the Combat vision and pillars;
  • You will inspire and empower your team, set achievable quality standards and guide team members on how to attain them, review work and provide actionable feedback;
  • You will foster clear communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary product teams;
  • You will also collaborate with the data analytics and player research teams to further the understanding of the player experience and quality.
Who you are
  • You have shipped at least one or more AAA games;
  • You have experience in designing systems for Combat and Open World games;
  • You have experience with 3D editing software (Maya, etc);
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • You are analytical, can evaluate game systems and interpret player behaviour data;
  • You are self-motivated, take initiative and are willing to prototype and pitch ideas to the team;
  • You are open to constructive criticism, know how to listen and give feedback to others;
  • You enjoy working in agile, multi-disciplinary teams;
  • You are flexible and approachable.
Plusses
  • You have experience with visual scripting (Unity, Unreal, etc);
  • Any experience in other game development disciplines; UI/UX, Art, Audio, Code.
