IT Internship - Developing Data Analytics functionalities on top of a Cloud platform - Amsterdam

Are you at least an WO bachelor graduate student? Does your study cover the subjects Data Analytics and Data Engineering? If yes, this internship will be interesting for you.  For this assignment you will be working in the ABN AMRO IT Office – Performance & Analytics team. You will be helping this team to develop Data Analytics functionalities for our new Cloud-native Data Analytics platform, which will be used for utilizing external data for strategic decision-making.

Background:We would like to build a Cloud-native Data Analytics platform for utilizing external data for strategic decision-making. We want to research optimal usage of open data for doing analysis on a wide range of topics (e.g. workforce analysis and sentiment analysis). The scope of this assignment is to research and build comprehensive Data Analytics functionalities on top of a Cloud-native platform. Another assignment will be dedicated to researching and building this Cloud-native platform. Both assignees will have the opportunity to collaborate closely for optimal integration of the Cloud platform and the Data Analytics functionality on top of this platform. Also, the assignees will have the opportunity to work closely with our Cloud and Data Science teams.  Assignment:The assignment is to build comprehensive Analytics functionalities on top of a Cloud-native platform for leveraging open data for strategic decision-making. The build-phase could be the result of some comparative research where optimal utilization of open data and state-of-the-art Advanced Analytics capabilities is the objective.

Our focus is on quantitative and intelligent insights about the performance of the IT organization, and on providing decision-makers with critical views on these insights.

You are at least an HBO or WO bachelor graduate student.Your study includes the following subjects: Data Analytics, Data Engineering.Preferred skills / knowledge: open data mining, NLP (Sentiment Analysis in particular), scripting, Python.  You've already demonstrated that you can study.
