TOPdesk is sold, implemented and supported in more than 14 countries, serving more than 10 different market segments. As you can imagine, developing software in this context is not an easy task. As a Product Owner at our company you deal with consolidating stakeholders and demands on a global level, facing ever faster changing software technologies. You will work in an environment where you are dealing with more and more complex, multifaceted challenges of an established company looking for ways to accelerate growth across borders. Our ambition to expand our customer base on the American continents is also thrown into the mix.

Our software supports service organizations delivering Service Excellence (link to SE blog here) for their customers. In an Agile environment our software is undergoing a fundamental change, which requires vision and direction. This requires translating 25 years of development and market knowledge into attractive software, fit for the demands of the future. As you can imagine, this poses technical challenges of moving towards a services architecture to meet the demands of our customers. To achieve this you will work together with Product Managers to create a holistic vision for the coming 3 to 5 years.

The team and the organization

You’ll work in the International Marketing team, which consists of Product Managers, Product Owners and International Marketeers. Along with extending our team, we want to take our work to the next level. Currently we are looking for ways to better connect our long term direction to business goals, to start making data driven decisions, and to increase the transparancy of our department both internally and externally. Marketing of our product is an increasingly integral part of the role. You collaborate with a Development department of more than 100 developers, who are working in Agile Scrum teams in the Netherlands, Germany and Hungary and transitioning to DevOps.

How do we recognize a great Product Owner?

• 2-4 years experience as a Product Owner
• Experienced in translating your experience and knowledge into customer value
• Driven to create measurable success at customers
• Able to clearly express the connections between larger business goals and small backlog items
• Experience with creating, designing or rolling out software products
• Strong communication skills that cross country borders
• Very independent work attitude
