DESCRIPTION

Currently we are looking for a Data Operations Lead for our Amsterdam office to make the team even stronger.

We are seeking a Development Team Leader to start and lead a data project for one of our customers.

Responsibilities

• The Team Leader will be responsible for building and leading a team of big data engineers, data analysts and data ops, in order to:
  • Implement new features in data platform, from requirements analysis through architecture to implementation
  • Integrate new data sources with data platform
  • Scale data platform and Data Warehousing infrastructure to meet company's needs
  • Apply data science to improve customer experience and predict customer churn

Requirements

• Required technical knowledge:
  • Hadoop, Spark (in Scala), Kafka
  • Understanding of data-intensive approaches and architecture
• Required soft skills:
  • Fluent communication in English
  • Customer-facing experience
  • Team leadership (proficient) and project management (basic) skills
  • People management skills

Nice to have

• Experience with data analytics and visualization platforms like QlickSense
• Experience in DWH solutions and architecture
• Ability to write Spark jobs not only in Scala, but also in Python, would a huge plus
