DevOps Specialist - Equities - Amsterdam

As a Development Engineer IT your role requires in-depth technical knowledge of our IT landscape combined with business knowledge of the various stakeholders in the value chain. You will be part of a DevOps team with a dynamic and flexible mindset. Parallel to the stability of the environment we work to deliver value driven content to our stakeholders in biweekly sprints. This means that every two weeks you will have something to be proud of that you have either designed, tested or developed. You are able to organize your time and effort accordingly and do not hesitate to help others in achieving the team goal. Some examples of deliverables in our team: 

• Migrating IT components to the Cloud
• Migrating from our current front end deal capturing system to Bloomberg
• Building a Ci/CD pipeline & working on Test automation scripts
• Delivering real-time reporting of trades in our application to the relevant teams within the bank responsible for regulatory reporting or risk & finance reporting
• Incident management – we reserve 20% of our time for unplanned work or (if unutilized) we allocate it for analysis & learning
• Adding business value – working together with stakeholders in improving their day to day processes, whether that be back-end validation of trades or helping Risk get a better insight into trade details – our goal is always to add value for our customers

Your profile: 

• Minimum of 2-3 years of working experience
• Knowledge of the Equities trading business is preferable, not a prerequisite
• Able to communicate fluently and succinctly with people of various backgrounds
• An affinity for the DevOps way of working
• Willingness to learn on the job. We encourage cross functional and multi skilled individuals in our team
