Finance Assistant (24-32 hrs./wk.) in Amsterdam

Our studio is located in the center of Amsterdam, where we focus on our core business - developing computer games exclusively for the Sony PlayStation. We are part of Sony PlayStation, which takes care of our financial administration from the office in Hilversum. Guerrilla is growing, and so are our financial responsibilities. The role of Finance Assistant at Guerrilla is an independent role since the Financial Controller works from Sony PlayStation.

As a Finance Assistant, your main duties and responsibilities are: 

• Performing the daily accounts payable administration of Guerrilla in SAP;
• Assisting the Financial Controller with the monthly closing;
• You are the first point of contact for your Guerrilla colleagues for financial questions, including the management and production team (think of regular questions about invoices, but also about various financial reports);
• Together with the Financial Controller you tackle various improvement processes, such as activating the use of PO numbers, credit card use, contract management, etc.;
• Allocation of costs from the correct cost accounts (balance sheet or profit and loss);
• Support with various (financial) administrative tasks.

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Have at least a completed MBO education in a relevant direction, such as accounting or accountancy;
• Have at least 2/3 years of experience with accounts payable administration (experience with journal books, AP and bank books is a plus);
• Have experience with accounting programs (preferably SAP R/3);
• Mastering the English language in word and writing is mandatory, speaking Dutch is preferable;
• You are an MS Excel guru (and can also work well with other Office packages such as Outlook and Word);
• You are residing and currently eligible to work in the Netherlands.

Your supervisor, the Financial Controller, works from Sony PlayStation in Hilversum, but can regularly be found in our studio in Amsterdam, where you work. The hours can be flexibly arranged (in agreement). Guerrilla is an international studio with many international colleagues and suppliers. The working language within the studio is therefore English, but command of the Dutch language is important given the nature of your work.
