With a combination of software & tools straight from the market leaders (such as Informatica, Teradata & MicroStrategy), and self-build top-of-the-line tooling, the Data Governance Grid is the data heart of ABN AMRO which focusses on helping all other parts of the bank remain in control of their data. With the help of all kinds of tooling, we safeguard the quality of the data for the entire bank and provide solutions and architecture to all business lines. The possibilities are vast. Building software is great, but creating value out of 7 petabytes of data is better! You are a facilitating and enthusiastic Scrum hero, who works in one or more teams, also referred to as blocks. You keep your eyes on the boundaries in which your teams operate, and do anything and everything to maximize their output. In doing so, no organizational boundary will stop you! You have the drive to do better every day, and manage to infect others with this drive as well. As a Scrum Master, you try to shield the team from distractions and ensure that sprints are concluded successfully. Aside from that, you have a coaching role towards your teams' internal knowledge building, and stimulate the process of multiskilling. You love to collaborate with others and occasionally act as the right hand of the Engineering Lead of the Data Governance Grid. While doing all this, you enjoy receiving a lot of trust, responsibility, and freedom in executing your role. Aside from your day to day work, you actively participate in teaching the organization to further grow the Agile mindset.

You work together with Development Engineers in small Agile teams (5-9 persons) within a DevOps culture. The whole team works in the same location. Here, you will focus on development with the latest technologies, such as self-build applications on the Public Cloud. The atmosphere is informal, and we are ok with making mistakes provided everyone is open about it and learns from them. Beside the DevOps team, we also want to improve the way of working in our Data Governance team where we adopted the Agile way of working in a non-IT environment.

The teams are in constant collaboration with all business lines, international branches, and subsidiaries of the bank where we all work together at the frontier of a major digital revolution and with the core value-assets of the organization.

- You have experience in setting up and growing teams and teaching them how to properly organize their work using Scrum. Ideally, you have references which show you've done this several times.
- You have experience with group dynamics and can adjust your style based on what the group needs.
- You enjoy working in a complex organization and understand that this complexity can bring challenges.
- You are not a walking Scrum guide, but someone capable of putting the theory into practice, and you understand that Rome was not built in a day.
- You are able to create a safe environment of trust and respect, as this is something we value greatly in the Data Governance Grid.
- You have an entrepreneurial and explorative mindset.
- Fluent in English and/or Dutch.
- A general understanding of data is a nice bonus.
- You have an EU Residence permit.
