(Senior) Internal Auditor Finance/ Financial Auditor in Utrecht

This is what you do for our customers
The goal of this role is to support the audit function to give the Supervisory Board and Management risk based independent assurance of the effectiveness of the company’s internal controls. You will undertake risk based audit activities to identify potential control weaknesses and make recommendations to mitigate related risks.

This is how you do it

• Identify potential significant internal control weaknesses
• Undertake activities to ensure that high risk areas are subject to appropriate management  actions to mitigate risks
• Assist the Head of Audit in any matters relevant to run the Internal Audit team
• Identify and promote good business practice
• Communicate with the business to provide early warning to management of potential control problems and emerging issues

You strengthen
As Senior Internal Auditor you will be part of a team existing of 6 Financial Risk Management experts and 2 Internal Auditors. You will be reporting into the Director Internal Audit and Financial Risk Management - Susan van Adrichem.

You’ve got what it takes

• Master Degree in Auditing, Accounting or Finance
• At least 4 years experience in Internal Audit, preferably within one of the Big 4
• A relevant audit qualification such as RA, CPA, ACCA or CIA is highly preferred
• In-depth understanding of auditing and control practices
• Updated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Hands-on approach, attention to detail, high integrity and reliability
• You are living in The Netherlands.

You deserve it
Based on a 40-hour workweek:

• A gross base salary between €45.000.- and €64.000.- depending in experience, with growth perspective
• 20 days of holidays
• On top of your base salary you'll receive a monthly flexible budget of 14,95% of your gross salary. Within this budget is included 8% holiday allowance and the possibility to purchase extra days off annually or directly receive the amount each month – it’s up to you!
