DESCRIPTION
Currently we are looking for a Senior Network Engineer for our Amsterdam office to make our team even stronger.
Responsibilities
- Creating Low level designs based on provided requirements
- Open change requests for the network preparations / implementations
- Implement network changes (Mainly Cisco ACI, F5 and CheckPoint) based on low level designs
- Upgrade network infrastructure (mainly F5 LTMs, CheckPoint Firewalls, Cisco switches / ACI)
- Prepare and implemented connectivity requests
- Create new and keep existing documentation updated
- Participate proactively in conference calls / meetings related with the different projects
Requirements
- Proven hands-on Experience in designing, implementing and upgrading Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs), special focus on F5 BIGIP-LTM and Viprions, experience of ASM/APM/AFM is a plus
- Proven hands-on experience in designing, implementing and upgrading of Next Generation Firewalls (Checkpoint NGX R77.xx & R80.xx)
- Proven hands-on Experience in designing, implementing and upgrading of Cisco Networking Technologies, Fabric Path and ACI is a must
- Strong Knowledge of TCP/IP, Troubleshooting Skills with tools (tcpdump, ssldump, wireshark, etc.)
- Strong Knowledge of Web Technologies/Protocols (HTTP Protocol, SSL Protocol, Known Frameworks, etc.)
- Good Experience with Unix Systems and Scripting Languages (Python, Bash)
- Good Knowledge/Experience with Automation Technologies (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) is a plus; Good Knowledge of IT Infrastructure, Storage, Virtualization and ISP systems (DNS, DHCP, VoIP, MX, WWW, etc.)
- Proactive, self-learner and dedicated
- Bachelor's Degree in IT or other technical studies
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Hands on experience in: Cisco routers, switches and ACI, F5 LTMs ADCs, CheckPoint firewalls
- Experience with Linux/Unix; experience with JIRA/Confluence experience with Remedy
- Experience in using and modifying python scripts
