Senior Front - End Developer in Amsterdam

ING is looking for an experienced and skilled IT Full Stack Dev engineer with a drive for continuous improvement, that is challenged by a complex application landscape and organization. You will be working within the cross-border Assisted Tribe. We are responsible for all the assisted services (Branches, ISP’s, Call Center, …) within ING NL and BE.

Our IT Engineers are the heart of ING. We solve some of the hardest problems. Constantly experimenting and improving. You will be working within the squads which are responsible for the new Employee Application Platform servicing Call Center and branches applications of the ING employees. As Full Stack Dev engineer you are part of delivery of new functionalities on the Employee Application Platform. The department is working in a DevOps manner, where Scrum/Agile method and continuous delivery practices are very important. The Dev Engineer delivers business value across the entire end-to-end application chain together with the squad. With the help of the Agile methodologies, you will support ING in delivering and maintaining quality products to our customers.

Typical Dev Engineer tasks are analysis, design, building code, deploying, testing and driving Continuous Integration and Delivery improvements.

The Dev Engineer ensures delivery across the end-to-end application chain. He/she understands the complete stack from application to hardware. He/she understands the detailed workflow of the application, expected transactional volumes, the detailed technical behaviour of application servers and databases and the importance of maintaining a high security profile, safeguarding the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of ING data and information assets. As a Dev Engineer you are enthusiastic about acquiring and transferring knowledge to others.

For this function we look for a proficient Dev Engineer that can take a leading role in deciding the best solution for ING.

As an Engineer you will need to:

• Have a strong knowledge of Polymer and Lit (must)
• Have knowledge of Java development. You know the difference between the frameworks and know which to apply depending on the require
• Have knowledge of Continuous Integration tools like: GIT, Sonar, Jenkins, Fortify and able to configure these tools
• Have experience with Continuous Delivery tools like: Ansible and TFS
• Be experienced in Agile and Continuous Delivery practices
• Have good social and communication skills
• Be pro-active and assertive
• Have a learning attitude. Not only to master new technologies and programming languages, but also on the interpersonal level. You are proven to be able to ask and give feedback
• Have experience with working in multicultural /diverse teams
• Have an excellent written and spoken knowledge of English
