API DevOps Engineer - Amsterdam

Within the Enterprise Integration Technology (EIT) department, you will become a DevOps Engineer of the Open Banking Platform (OBP) team. Our solutions and supported services are at the heart of ABN AMRO’s Integration Capability. In our integration toolbox we have screwdrivers like an internal API gateway (ApiGee on premise), an external API-platform (ApiGee SaaS) and a Developer Portal.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior DevOps Engineer. In your role you will closely collaborate with other OBP DevOps engineers and will be responsible for developing, testing, deploying and maintaining different systems and platforms. You will put effort into automating and streamlining the Enterprise Integration Technology department operations and processes. You will be developing new features and writing scripts for (test) automation using bash/Python/Groovy/Java.
Examples of the episodes you will work on:

• Design, develop and maintain the new CI/CD Pipeline to be used by many develop teams within our department (at a later point these will be opened up to all API-driven Grids within the bank)
• Single Sign On (SSO) integration throughout our newly developed platform features and systems
• Set up monitoring to optimize performance of our systems and platform
• Automate systems and architecture; optimize test automation capabilities
• General support and problem analysis on incidents running on our platform
• Expand platform security and monitoring to early signal possible issues and/or risks

 You are an experienced professional, obviously. You have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering. Next to that you:have deep knowledge and hands-on experience in API managed platforms and API related activities: requirement analysis, solution architecture and -design and micro-services architecture. Experience with resource-based API modeling is a plus

• have 5+ years of experience in the following domains:
• Java EE, Groovy and Python
• Bash/shell
• ApiGee Edge
• SOA and other Integration Design Patterns
• CICD, Jenkins
• Bitbucket, Splunk and Jira
• Knowledge and experience with AWS is a plus
• Utilize various open source technologies but able to apply risk-management
• Write scripts and automation using Python/Groovy/Java/Bash
• Understand test automation practices and how these can support the team
• Manage source control (GIT)
• Good understanding of Security and Bank related Security practices
• Set up and deliver technical documentation as part of the solution to other development teams
• Have a true DevOps mindset; deliver value continuously, at the same time built-in quality and feel responsible for maintaining our solutions
• Be able to teach and coach other team members on coding skills and practices
• Have experience with the Agile/Scrum way of working
