YOUR ROLE

As the Lab Lead you are responsible for the day-to-day management, budget and overall progress of the teams within the innovation Lab. You will be the main contact for ING management, external partners and the ecosystem in general. Together with the other members of the innovation team, you are responsible for keeping the Innovation engine running and work closely with Exploration, Program services and other stakeholders to ensure a high-quality funnel. Your team is responsible for recruiting highly innovative team members for Innovation initiatives. Ensuring the potential of the initiatives are validated rapidly and make strong recommendations on what to build ourselves and where to partner with others. The main objective is to scale successful initiatives with substantial business impact.

You furthermore ensure that the teams can operate independent from the core whilst still being able to leverage ING’s broad knowledge base and network. You manage the whole funnel from first opportunity to scale and make an impact on ING’s platform strategy.

A key factor to success is getting the right people on board, it is your responsibility to source the right teams and set up proper governance around sourcing, both from an internal and external perspective. Next to all of the above you are not afraid to get your hands dirty and guide the teams to the highest levels of impactful results.

• Proven experience in building businesses and/or ventures for a corporate or running a corporate accelerator program
• Solid experience working within a large multinational
• You think big, test small and have bags of curiosity, a solid can-do attitude, a desire to create real impact, an eagerness to learn and a fearless approach to any challenge.
• Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders creating buy in and engagement
• You set an inspiring example through personal delivery, energy and determination
• You have a collaborative and inclusive spirit and you look to enable teams to deliver excellence
• You have excellent motivating and networking skills including high cultural sensitivity in order to work in a highly diverse environment
• You have a strong understanding of innovation, technology, design thinking and trends
• You are an organizer, a facilitator, an inspirator and not afraid to stand in front of a crowd
• You are fluent in English
