Experienced Python developer with coaching skills in Amsterdam

You are an experienced Python 3 developer and you like to share knowledge, coach your colleagues on development practices, and you love the freedom to grow a chapter towards new technologies.

Being this Python developer, you embrace Open Source. Linux, Postgres, Kafka, and technologies like Docker and WebSockets are on your reading list (or more than that).

You have lots of database knowledge; you know your way around in relational databases, you create schemas at ease, and you love to write optimized SQL queries.

What do you do?

• You program Python on a daily basis in a squad that delivers business data to regulators (like De Nederlandse Bank). As such you have an important role: no data means no bank license.
• You coach and train your colleagues to become great Python developers, because they are just starting in the Python world.
• ...so next to programming, you are helping designing solutions, and you review a lot of software.
• You use Behavior Driven Design (BDD) and TDD to build all of your software, and you apply UML (use cases and activity diagrams) to further specify your software.
• You love the Python paradigm, and as such you create small sharp tools.
• You automate your work as much as you can.
• You are more quality minded than anyone you know.
• We have five weekly guilds, and you love to be part of most of those, to interact with your fellow developers in other squads.
• You work in a cloud driven platform and you use the freedom we give you to create neat, fast, message based solutions.
• As such, you use Kafka, schemas and REST.
• You love to get to a result, but you never loose quality requirements set by the platform out of sight.
