Responsibilities

• Gathering network requirements (and influence solution designs with strong network knowledge)
• Validate network concepts and solutions in the lab
• Translate requirements and lab setups into E2E network designs/architectures
• Define platform scaling requirements and monitoring KPIs
• Work with cross-department with network architects and engineers and provide a lead function during implementation activities in lab and prod environments
• Investigate issues and coordinate resolutions/update design
• Documentation (wiki)
• Handover of projects to operations

Requirements

• Must-have a miminum of 5 years' experience as Ea 2E Network architect, network designer or integration engineer
• Must-have a minimum of 5 years' experience in delivery of projects in a large pan-european or global environment
• Must-have a strong overall knowledge of network technologies (Ethernet, VLAN/VXLAN, IP, IPv6, TCP, MPLS, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, VPNs, Multicast, …)
• Must-have a strong knowledge of network supporting systems (DNS, DHCP, NTP, NMS, …)
• Must be fluent in English
• Preferred experience with core, access and datacentre network architecture
• Preferred experience with private and public cloud datacentres (AWS preferred)
• Preferred experience with building MPLS based solutions (L2/L3 VPNs, multicast, QoS, …)
• Preferred experience with building labs and POC environments
• Preferred hands on experience with Cisco (IOS, IOS-XR, ACI), F5 (LTM,AFM), Checkpoint, Fortinet, Juniper (MX)
• Preferred strong knowledge of CDN technology
• Preferred strong knowledge of network security, TLS, IPSEC and DDOS mitigation
• Optional good knowledge of VMWARE/vRA, Databases (Oracle, SQL)
• Optional good Knowledge of SDN, NFV and network automation
• Optional good Knowledge of DevOps toos and scripting (Ansible, Python)
• Optional familiarity with B2C Video/Entertainment sector (VOD, DRM, TV, …)
