Beschrijving

As Capability Manager you contribute to this by having employees develop in such a way that they want to and can take on this responsibility. In addition, you add value by ensuring the necessary IT expertise in the teams that optimize Aegon's products and services portfolio. You also ensure, in coordination with the internal organization, for the right man or woman in the right place so that business processes.


As Capability Manager you are responsible for the development of the subject content and soft skills of IT professionals for your team(s). You develop, in consultation with HR, training, education and coaching programs and facilitate 360 degree feedback as part of performance and talent management. You regularly hold discussions with your employees about progress, personal goals and development and you ensure a good atmosphere and team happiness. The size of your team consists of approximately 60 internal and approximately 20 external employees. You manage contracts with sourcing partners.


You ensure optimal strategic, tactical and operational resource planning in coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders and you ensure, together with HR, that you attract the right IT expertise. You attend demos, reviews and PI planning sessions to see employees in action, or to observe and stimulate team dynamics. You conduct recruitment interviews and coordinate recruitment policy with Human Resources. You make agreements with external suppliers about the deployment and rate of external employees and you advise Value streams and / or ESS on resources to be deployed.


Leiding geven

  • Leading, coaching, developing and assessing internal employees, as well as promoting the
  • collaboration between employees, using relevant (HR) tools, services and procedures, so that employees and teams are optimally equipped to achieve results and and a positive culture be realised.

Resource management

  • Within your resource pool you initiate and develop Community of Practices (CoP) so that knowledge sharing and development is optimized. You organize regular meetings
  • for all employees involved in the CoP to facilitate mutual exchange and demos and to agree and monitor standards. You create and maintain a digital platform or other medium so that your employees are optimally enabled to share knowledge and to communicate with each other.

HR-ondersteuning

  • Carrying out various HR activities, including the perform & develop cycle, interviews and supervising the reintegration and dysfunction of employees, in collaboration with the relevant colleague(s), so that (value stream) management is optimally supported. 

Rapportages

  • Providing solicited and unsolicited insight into quantitative and qualitative developments and performance of the own team, through periodic and ad hoc reports, enabling (value stream) management to make timely decisions or adjust them.


Functie-eisen 
What makes you successful in this position:

  • You have thorough knowledge of IT. Knowledge focuses on the one hand on developing employees, and on the other hand on setting up, implementing and executing resource processes within a Matrix organization 
  • You usually have 5 to 10 years of relevant experience
  • WO work and knowledge level
