1 What’s a Feature Engineer Finance within ING Group Services?

ING Group Services is looking for a Feature Engineer in the change domain of the Finance COO organization. Finance COO is providing reporting, analysis and data quality assurance & governance services to internal and external stakeholders. As feature engineer you contribute to bringing Finance to the next level by driving innovation and standardization across the global function; To help us realize our goals and ambitions we are looking for an enthusiastic Feature Engineer in this field. Hiring Managers are Ritu Sharma and Johan Paulissen.

A Feature Engineer within Finance COO does the following:

• Refines technical solution directions and technical dependencies drafted in the Epic in coordination with the Business Analyst, the Domain Architect and relevant Squad members, using his/her in-depth IT/application knowledge.  
• He/she verifies the extent to which the realized Feature works as designed. He/she facilitates Feature planning, cooperation between Squads and the Tribe Team (if any) and Feature delivery; herewith maintaining close relationship with (business) counterpart(s)

• Help shape the feature roadmap in periodical planning sessions towards Vision, Themes and Epics
• Identifying which Squads/Teams/specialists to involve in the Agile build cycle
• Challenge and advise Product Owners on Feature dependencies and priorities and backlog alignment of individual Squads
• Have knowledge / experience of /with Management Accounting business processes
• Have technical knowledge (can be high level) of MA tooling, preferably Hyperion Planning / HPCM
• Experience with implementation of standardized MA solution to be used by different locations/departments
• Knowledge of banking organization

Your “backpack” should contain:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in IT (Engineering)
• Experience in refining and designing features, challenge and advise Product Owners on feature dependencies and priorities
• Finance knowledge: interested in/worked with Finance processes like FA, MA  or financial reporting
• Understanding of DataWareHousing concepts
• Eagerness to learn and to keep knowledge up-to-date
• You’ve got experience with the agile way of working
