You are responsible for translating business requirements into a solution that fits within the possibilities of the IFRS17 software of our supplier (Aptitude). Keeping track of future releases and executing installations will also be your responsibility. You are part of an Agile team and follow the change process within the guidelines of Aegon.
You will be required to discuss and align new changes coming from Aegon with the Center of Excellence product team of Aptitude. Critical to the success of your role will be your ability to align and share knowledge with the Centre of Excellence, your own team members and the stakeholders
You will be responsible for the configuration of applications used for IFRS17 calculations: AICE (Aptitude Insurance Calculation Engine) and AAH (Aptitude Accounting Hub). This includes the maintenance of several Stored Procedures that support the configuration. Critical to the success of your role will be your ability to cross bridges and work closely with the business experts who provide business requirements (e.g. define accounting rules) and IT departments (responsible for the infrastructure and or interfaces).
You are the owner of the configuration documentation of the IFRS17 solution.
You will be required to stay up to date with the latest Aptitude software and product updates. Therefore it is key that you follow and understand the product release notes, and advise our actuarial and accounting business which release changes are relevant. You are familiar with the Aptitude roadmap and aware what benefits Aegon users get from upcoming releases.
You are responsible for the installation of new Aptitude software versions on Aegon environments. You maintain contact with internal and external suppliers to ensure that issues related to software upgrades are resolved quickly.
You are part of an Agile team, and therefore you are required to participate in agile meetings, advise on prioritizing stories, ensure that user requirements are formulated clearly and explain/demo the results you and your team have achieved to stakeholders.
This is your future position, because you:
have an HBO or Master degree;
have proven experienced with product life cycle;
have the ability to match between business requirements and product features, and provide and explain the best maintainable solution;
have experience with the configuration of sub ledger package configuration (you understand accounting rules, debit and credit journal lines);
are familiar with the reporting processes within the insurance industry (IFRS, Solvency);
have solid DBA/Database skills: Oracle and SQL Server;
have technical understanding and ability to run SQL queries to analyze input and output of Aptitude;
have technical understanding and ability to maintain Stored Procedures.
are interested to get to know a new application Aptitude, and become an expert and key knowledge holder;
are (pro) actively looking for ways to do things faster, easier, cheaper and more automatic;
take responsibility for your own domain but you do not limit yourself to your own small piece;
have good communication skills in talking and writing in English and in Dutch.
