ING is looking for a Chapter Lead Product Management in Advanced Analytics

As Chapter Lead Product Management in Advanced Analytics you'll be part of a tribe that originates and builds data-driven algorithmic products. This is an entrepreneurial and global role in an innovative international team.
 

Role Profile

We are looking for an energetic leader with a passion for combining thought and action. You serve as a role model and show that you are a true ambassador of Product Management and the ING culture.

As a Chapter Lead you will play a key role in driving the success of Product Management in the tribe and beyond. You will contribute Product Management expertise and thought leadership on the level of such tech companies as Google, Spotify or Adobe. In this sense, you will also be a key voice for how to do “Product” at ING.

Next to your job as Chapter Lead, you will spend about 50% of your time as a hands-on Product Manager in one of our products.

What department?
Wholesale Banking Advanced Analytics (WBAA) has the purpose to build algorithmic data-driven software products that benefit ING’s clients and the bank. With a team of about 100 engineers, data scientists, UXers and product managers, WBAA has proven its ability to create value within ING and beyond.

What we expect from you

• Thought leadership, guidance and coaching in Product Management
• Managerial responsibility for all Product Managers at WBAA (currently 6)
• Responsible for hiring and retention of Product Management talent
• Solid and seasoned practitioner of innovation and product management methodologies such as Lean Startup, Agile and Design Thinking
• Ability to develop structured product concepts from abstract ideas and lead prototyping
• In earlier product stages: work with a squad of Data Scientists, UXers, and Engineers to discover the potential of a product, the user problem (user research) and validate and prototype
• In later product stages: develop the go-to-market approach and potential business models
• Manage stakeholders up to very senior level, e.g. ING Innovation Fund, senior business sponsors
• Set up fintech partnerships that help accelerate prototyping and product development
• Demonstrate thought leadership internally and externally
• Understanding and enthusiasm for technology, advanced analytics and data science methods

Further requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience as product manager or similar role
• Several years of experience in a relevant leadership role, such as Product Director, Chapter Lead, or Head of Product
• University degree; Top MBA holders are encouraged to apply
• Written and spoken fluency in English
