At ING a Lead Pega Consultant is a Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) responsible for architecting and designing business applications using Pega PRPC.

The team operates in a unique space – building the application process for our customers to apply for loans which serves the back-end backbone of the solution selling part of consumer loans area.

What you’ll do

• Provide architecture and design guidance to our teams developing BPM/BRE solutions using Pega.
• Provide thought-leadership across business and technical project dimensions solving complex business requirements.
• Develop and demonstrate an advanced knowledge of the PRPC Architecture and all PRPC design and implementation features.
• Demonstrate clear understanding of test-driven development with a strong focus on delivering high quality software.
• Work in conjunction with Chief Product Owner to size, manage scope and risk.
• Accountable for ensuring the business and technical architecture of the delivered solution matches technical and functional requirements, and commits to the Success of the bank and the tribe objectives(realization of business benefit).
• Participate in the development of team members by effective coaching and leading by example.

How to succeed

• 10+ years of IT experience with n-tier, database and client server design/development.
• 7+ years of experience in design and implementation of PRPC-based solutions, including leadership role in design to develop shared/reusable enterprise rules and workflow components within Pega Process Rules Commander.
• Experience on Pega Case Management and a very strong understanding of integration mechanisms to and from Pega PRPC is a mandatory skill to have.
• Expertise and good understanding of Relational Database Management Systems including architecting and designing for performance and scalability and working with Object to Relational Mapping schemes for distributed data access.
• Solid fundamentals in Core Java & Object Oriented concepts, JSON and REST.
• Excellent skills in any of the RDBMS tools like Oracle, MSSQL, DB2 or Sybase, and SQL.
• Experience working with any of the Servlet containers or Enterprise containers like tomcat, BEA Weblogic, IBM WebSphereor JBOSS.
• Knowledge in web services (RESTful), JMS, Kafka, Object Oriented Design Patterns (e.g. MVC I, MVC II).
• Experience in Agile / Scrum or as a Scrum Master.
• Pega LSA certified (V7.x).
