About us

We are a hands-on international team and are based in the new Cumulus Park Studio nearby station Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena (due to Covid19 the team currently works from home). With our startup culture, you have a great degree of freedom in taking decisions and implementing new technologies, but we also expect you to be flexible and work outside your job description. You like to be part of innovative projects, and can handle working under pressure and changing requirements.

What you will do

We’re looking for someone to bring Invisible Tickets to the next level. We need an experienced Feature Engineer with a drive to make complex changes happen in our team. Your holistic view as well your knowledge of both Business and IT are crucial in the translation of business requirements in a sequence that delivers customer value as early as possible. You work closely together with our Customer Journey Experts and Developers (front- and backend) to define and align the roadmap.  

How to succeed

Ensure delivery (design, planning, reporting, coordination, dependencies management)

• From a strategic business & IT context you deliver more detailed implementation roadmaps. You can slice epics into features and set up roadmaps so squads are able to refine their features into concrete user stories. You manage the size and complexity of features from an end-to-end view. During execution you ensure reporting and follow-up.
• You identify and manage risks and potential issues and offer improvements across teams.

Breakdown business requirements into features and user stories

• You develop features in an iterative way, aligned with the team. You give support during refinement of user stories.
• You are able to translate new product and service needs into required IT solutions and IT infrastructure.  You are able to grasp business opportunities from new technology solutions. You think and act globally.
• You follow the market and know what is going on both inside and outside ING. From your understanding of the latest developments in the Business and Technology, you propose structural improvements.

Making things happen by collaboration

• You are comfortable with collaboration and reaching out across ING when needed. You easily connect and align stakeholders within all levels of the ING organization.
• You are able to implement changes in an end-to-end context covering all functional and non-functional aspects in close collaboration with the team, including IT infrastructure dependencies.

Your profile

• Problem solving skills to find creative ways of driving progress and removing impediments
• A master degree in IT (engineering) or equal by experience
• Minimal 7 years of experience as a Feature Engineer / Lead Developer in a complex and challenging IT environment
• Fluent in English
• Experience with the agile way of working
• Customer centric & platform thinking
