Your role

As a Senior Data Scientist Consultant you have impact on how ING´s Transformation Practice and Agile Way of Working is translated into Reporting and Agile Metrics, helping our Leadership Team, Tribes and Squads to create value with overview and insights in our backlog.

Your work environment

The Purpose of the Center of Expertise (CoE) Bank Portfolio Management (ING Belgium and The Netherlands) is to accelerate delivery of market leaders’ objectives and ensure its executional certainty, our CoE Bank Portfolio Management creates transparency on alignment of strategy and execution. We operate as single source of truth and collective memory of the market leaders’ change portfolio.

The CoE team members are located in Amsterdam and Brussels and your place of employment will be Amsterdam. You will be collaborating with tribes and squads in and outside the CoE to create an unbeatable cross border customer experience.

Your key responsibilities

As a Data Scientist Consultant, you will have impact on the fundamental transformation ING is facing by :

• Create best in class & clearly defined agile and financial metrics: Aimed at supporting all stakeholders from squads to Management Banking Board with easy to grasp agile metrics and financial reports, to help all to continuously improve. CoE Bank Portfolio Management operates on the single source of truth and the collective memory of the market leaders’ change portfolio.

• Own and manage Agile metrics, in close cooperation with Group (GTO) and the other ING Countries and Functions, deploying bank-wide guidelines and supporting execution of key BLM processes.

• Maintain our Cognos reporting portal, aimed at supporting (Delivery) tribes and squads in providing visual insights in backlog performance.

• Create data driven Insights and give advice to our clients aimed at supporting decision making process: Deploying bank-wide guidelines, orchestrating communication and supporting execution of the key reporting processes thereby accelerating delivery of change, while ensuring sufficient mitigation of risks

• You are a team player: we expect from you that you have a valuable contribution to the collective goals both regarding the concrete deliverables and the teamwork on itself.

• You are someone with ambition, willingness to learn, take responsibility, focused and experienced on a diversity of tooling, currently Cognos, SQL (data mart I4C), PowerQuery, Excel, VBA and preferably PowerBI and Python.

• You will deliver input for the reporting & metrics roadmap, will refine the stories, build and maintain the queries and reports, working closely together with the portfolio management squad and other stakeholders.

• You will be in the lead give guidance in and outside our CoE to (new) product owners and other roles related to reports/metrics we deliver as a CoE.

• You have affinity and knowledge of (financial) data, bank processes and technology

• You have a  personality and the capabilities to optimally function within an Agile environment.

• You are fluent in Dutch and English and are a natural in plain language.
