Domain Expert - IT Security - Online Brand & Phishing Protection in Amstelveen

You will work at a future-oriented bank where the customer is always put first. We are working hard to implement innovations. Sustainability, accessibility, safety and transparency are important goals. You will work at CISO (Corporate Information Security Office) within the Operations & Intelligence grid. Your colleagues in the Online Brand & Phishing protection team ensure that our brands like ABN AMRO and Tikkie stay safe from any attempts to misuse the brand. Our team is diverse in both nationalities and professional background, which makes it a great place to work and develop yourself. 

You can imagine that security is a major asset within the bank. You will play an important role in keeping our brands and domains safe from mis-use and attacks. Online Brand & Phishing Protection is more than ever important to keep our customers and employees safe from scams which mis-use our brands. Think of phishing emails and SMS, but also WhatsApp fraud or spoofing. All these kind of scams are raising in numbers due to the COVID-19 situation. 

A challenging role for someone who likes to dive into complex processes and is good in cooperation and stakeholder management to work together to stop these scams. The team currently consists of six members with different nationalities and is ready for further expansion. The working language within the team is English.
 

What are you going to do? 
Online business platforms (web, mobile and social media) are prone to cybercrime attacks such as typo-squatting, spoofing etc. Business emails are prime targets for phishing attacks. The Online Brand & Phishing Protection Service from O&I is a one-stop solution to protect our domains, email servers, business emails and social media presence. We ensure that the reputation and credibility of  our brands is protected at all times.
 

Some of the processes on which you will focus are our anti-phishing processes, to take down phishing sites as quickly as possible. And sometimes even before they are up and running.  
The attackers keep changing their modus operandi continuously, it’s up to you to make sure we are always on top of the game, and where needed, to adapt our processes and services accordingly. 

What does your working day look like?
•    The team works according to the DevOps & Agile methodology. 
•    You are working on improving the Online Brand & Phishing Protection services, based on user stories.
•    You will make sure that the Online Brand & Phishing Protection services are up and running. Occasionally there are incidents that occur that you are going to look into. 
•    For your work you often engage with various stakeholders such as other IT departments, business colleagues and software suppliers.

We are looking for people to join the CISO / Operations and Intelligence department. This team delivers IT and security solutions that make the bank safer. Quite a lot of internal jargon, we understand that. Please see the brief explanation of these terms below: 
 

CISO
Stands for Corporate Information Security Office. They are the umbrella department within ABN AMRO that ensures that we remain a digital bank where malicious parties can not get their foot in the door.

O&I
Stands for Operations and Intelligence. Within CISO, this department provides infrastructural, security-related services, such as a Security Operations Centre (SOC). They also devise cryptography solutions and security assurance for applications in other departments.

The ideal candidate:

•    University degree, preferably in computer science or similar (beta education)
•    Knowledge and experience with brand protection in one of more of these areas:

o    Anti-phishing, notice & take down
o    E-mail protection, e.g. Microsoft Defender for Office 365
o    Knowledge of DNS, DNSSEC, SPF, DMARC techniques
o    Brand protection on social media

•    Excellent in stakeholder management. Background in consultancy-, or project management is a big plus.
•    Hands-on, self-organized, willing to finish and deliver (execution power)  
•    Able to translate technical language into easy business language 
•    Service oriented professional, you enjoy taking on an internal consultancy role
