IT Engineer Digital Archive in Amsterdam

Are you an (experienced) Development Engineer? Does programming (Java) and working with new technologies peak your interest? Would you like to work in a fun, fast-changing environment? Then look no further as you could be our new colleague within the Document & Records Management (DRM) teams of ECM. Work on our DRM platform called BASE.  

DRM is part of the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) department. Within the ECM domain, client communication of our approx. 6 million clients are streamlined and digitally archived. DRM delivers functionalities that are used by departments throughout the whole bank (also internationally) while ensuring that it complies with legislations such as the new AVG / GDPR. 

Within DRM there are currently several key activities to get involved with. You will be working on technology like developing new functionalities in Java, working with MongoDB, Elastic or Nuxeo. Align with our stakeholders on how to make use of our services. We recently started migrating all our components to Azure, an exciting and challenging migration. 

Simultaneously you will have active discussions with stakeholders on connecting them to our BASE platform and on migration of their current client documents.  

Interacting with different parties throughout the whole organization. Innovate, experiment and help with setting up new technologies; Structure and organize our code in a way that makes it sustainable and easy to update. The ECM domain is currently one of the top priorities of our Executive Committee. Therefore, we have unique opportunities for innovation and change! 

Your working environment will consist of a small team (6-9 persons) that works in an Agile environment. We work together with an Indian partner company. So, you work in an international team comprising of Indian and Dutch colleagues 

Here you will be able to work with the latest technology solutions in the heart of the organization, in constant collaboration with all business lines. All of this happens in an informal atmosphere with plenty of room for fun. We are ok with making mistakes, if we are open about them and learn from them.

Required Skills: 

• You have strong Java and IT skills, such as Service Oriented Architecture / Web Services – REST, Markup Languages like XML and JSON, experience with JIRA, SonarQube, Fortify, Jenkins and GIT 

• You are familiar with the latest open source developments in your area of expertise. 

• You are familiar with Cloud development, preferably Azure. 

• You are able to not only suggest and design solutions, but also able to put them into practice immediately by developing them.  

• You have an exploratory mindset, on the lookout for new developments. 

• An education in Computer Science, Information Science, Econometrics, Mathematics or Computer Science related fields. 

• HBO/WO level 

• Fluent in English.  

• And of course, mind-blowing foosball or ping pong skills
