You will come to work in the department of Technology Services for the teams that maintain the on-premise infrastructure and the networks of ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance. These teams are responsible for the central IT infrastructure of ABF, storage, networking and Datacentre facilities. Currently, we’re in the process of migrating to the Azure Cloud, which means these teams are vitally important in keeping the business running, while simultaneously decommissioning legacy infrastructure and preparing for the future. Moreover, we’re investigating a transition into a DevOps way of working.
As Scrum Master, you will facilitate, enthuse, guide and coach two IT teams that work on our infrastructure and networking products. You do this by transferring the Agile mindset, principles and values onto the team by means of different Agile methodologies such as KanBan and Scrum. You support the teams in becoming self-reflecting, thereby facilitating openness to improvement on a personal, procedural and product level. You actively participate in the development and spreading of the Agile mindset within your teams and the Technology Services department. The focus for these teams lies with communication, stakeholder management, and the quality of the IT environment they maintain.
Your focus will be on facilitating the process, aligning with the rest of the organisation and improving teamwork. Along with the Technology Services Product Owners you enable the teams so they can focus on delivery and the successful finishing of their sprints. Due to your people skills and experience with teams, you are the perfect candidate to support both Product Owner and team members in their personal development.
You know how to connect with people, have strong social and communication skills and can bring focus to the teams. You are able to spot inefficiencies and help the team solve them. Furthermore, you are well able to coach the Product Owner(s) in backlog and stakeholder management as well as challenge them on their vision. You easily manoeuvre between all levels of the organization and can switch between technical discussions with teams and functional discussions with our Business. You have a healthy dose of persuasive power and use that to align our environment on the importance of speeding up value delivery.

ABN AMRO UK is part of the Corporate Banking business line and operates the following businesses in the UK:
• Corporate and Institutional Banking which includes Corporate Banking, Clearing, Global Markets - Sales & Trading and Financial Institutions
• Commercial Banking which includes Asset Based Finance and International Desk, which provides transactional banking services
Our business lines are supported by a number of functions such as Risk, Compliance, Legal, IT, Finance (Including Tax), Business Management and Human Resources. We currently employ approx. 380 people in the UK.
• Higher Professional Education
• Experience in a complex ICT environment
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills
• Experience in Financial Services is a plus
• Scrum Master certification (PSM 1)
• Affinity with IT infrastructure
• Knowledge of change management, servant leadership, coaching, mediation, continuous improvement
• Knowledge of DevOps and Scaled Agile methods
• Dutch language skills are a plus
• A sense of humour and not afraid to speak your mind
