Are you eager to unlock the power of data by using all forms of processes and technology? Do you want to be part of the data revolution in the banking industry? Do you have a strong understanding of data and can we agree that data is at the core of creating value for customers? And does solving complex data related cases make you happy? Then the Chief Architect and Data Management is the place for you!

Your job

As Process & Project Enabler you are responsible for keeping a strong Oversight on the execution of the Data Strategy of ABN AMRO This includes providing quality assurance on execution, execution governance, execution quality, monitoring the execution by Grid Owners and Product Owners and ensuring effective stakeholder management within the boundaries of your scope.

Your key focus is monitoring and maintaining the overview on the execution of the Data Strategy of ABN AMRO with a team of fellow process and project enabler, existing execution departments who in turn manage Product owners, IT Development Engineers, Architects, Business Specialists and External Service Providers for data related implementations. Together, we work on delivering milestones and deliverables related to the Data Strategy. Milestones vary in size and time. Larger milestones typically go over six month and up to two-year lead time, where smaller deliverables typically take two to three months.

You will monitor and create transparency whether all milestones and deliverables are adequately led, resourced and remain on track against the triple constraints of time, budget and scope. You can create and maintain a good overview of the dependencies between the milestones and deliverables and you administrate all your work properly in our joint overviews and administration. You ensure that a clear and communicated change procedure for milestone and deliverable changes is put in place with help of your fellow process and project enablers, and in doing so you manage these requests for change together. Furthermore, you ensure that every quarter, the quarterly process is run properly, and accurately, to ensure that your execution progress is safeguarded. Everything just mentioned, you execute in collaboration with your stakeholders with whom you maintain a continuous dialogue.

It is important to mention that this is a brand-new team. That means a lot of processes and ways of working are not set in stone yet. A large part (at least in the first months of working with us), will involve creativity and creation, thinking outside the box, and setting up the processes along which we will work in the future. In other words, a lot of room to make a big impact!

Working environment

As our process and project enabler you work together with other process and project enabler in a small but growing team of women and men within an open and transparent culture. The atmosphere is informal, and we are ok with making ‘mistakes’ as long as everyone is open about it and learns from it. Aside from working on your scope, you are eager to design, create and implement new processes. The teams are in constant collaboration with all business lines, international branches and subsidiaries of the bank. We all work together at the frontier of a major digital revolution and with the core value-assets of the organization, and we interact with senior management of ABN AMRO on daily basis.
