As a Solution Architect you are part of the team of architects within the Strategic Alignment department. Strategic Alignment is part of the Business Technology Center of the IT department at Schiphol Group. Its primary purpose is sustainable alignment between business and IT, in order to realize our IT Strategy in a harmonized way. More and more we practice Agile principles. This specific role focusses on the Operations business area of Schiphol where we have the ambition to move towards Total Airport Management. Developing an Airport Operations Plan (AOP) is the first important step. Your role will be to design the solution architectures for Airport Operations based on the architecture vision, roadmap and guidelines.

What will you do as Solution Architect?
At one of the world's premier airports, as a Solution Architect you will lead, prioritize and develop the solution architecture for specific solutions within the enterprise, in conjunction with the other solution architects, as well as with enterprise architects, business and IT leaders.

You will create architecture models, perform business impact analyses and develop architecture guidelines for the development of services and solutions. You do this by producing Architecture Definition Documents and/ or other architecture products when required. You ensure compliance with the Schiphol architecture principles, standards and guidelines.

Scope of Activities:

• Design and lead the implementation of solution architectures.
• Design and direct the activities ensuring assurance and compliance with the solution architecture.
• Analyze, understand and document the current state and future state solution architecture.
• Coordinate solution architecture implementation and modification activities.
• Align the solution architecture with other application and infrastructure development projects and identify when it is necessary to modify the solution architecture.
• Document solution architecture work: models, architecture decisions, guidelines, principles.
• Interact with Enterprise Architects, Technical Architects, Business Information Managers, Controllers, Program and Project managers.

Qualifications:

• The ability to explain complex problems in laymans terms.
• Experience in working successfully with agile software development teams.
• Working experience with multiple sourcing and development methods (bi-modal).
• Basic knowledge of quality assurance, risk management and value management.
• Knowledge of and experience with Archimate 3.
• Knowledge of and experience with TOGAF is a pre.
• Experience in working with BizzDesign is a pre.
