As a Freelance DevOps Engineer, you and your colleagues are responsible for shaping and improving our infrastructure (to cloud based). You focus on new initiatives such as creating new pipelines, splitting applications and product autonomy. This makes you not only part of new challenging trajectories, but the driving force as well. 

On a daily basis you’ll be working with:

• The Cloud infrastructure, IaaS, preferably Azure.
• You’ll be hands-on with different types of cloud transformation strategies – from Lift and Shift to Cloud Native.
• Azure monitoring, debugging and support.
• Driving transformation to the cloud as part of our Site Reliability Engineering team.
• With you deep knowledge of Cloud Computing you’ll make a difference in: virtualization technologies, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) Cloud delivery models.
• Enterprise Security policy and strategy, data backup/ restore, capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Collaborating with your colleagues in the Site Reliability Engineering team.
• Dividing your time between continuous improvement and future architecture. 
• Work closely with the developers, Ops specialists and Architect to design a robust, reliable cloud architecture.
• The best practices from the industry, such as Blue Green Deployment, Canary releases etc.
• YAML programming and infrastructure as code.
• Automated test pipelines, continuous integration and continuous delivery .

We are at the beginning of a real DevOps transformation and we're going to roll this out completely "by the book". An important part of the new IT strategy is the complete migration to the cloud, where as a Freelance DevOps Engineer you can really make an impact on the organization. In addition, you’ll be doing it together with a group of very driven colleagues.
