IT Engineer Controlling in Amsterdam

The Controlling Grid delivers high quality Management Information to the Controllers of  the Bank so they can assist the Business Lines in making the right decisions. The Grid has just started the preparations for the Apollo DevOps leap and we are looking for an IT Engineer who  can help us to make the migration of our applications to the Azure Cloud a success.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary DevOps team, consisting of Business Developers, IT Engineers, Run specialists, a Business Analyst, a Datamodeler, a Product Owner and a Scrum Master. Together we are building, running and maintaining a Datastore in Microsoft SQL Server and Reports in Power BI to supply the Management Information the Controllers need. As a team we support the whole development process from requirements gathering to business implementation of the functionality that was requested. As an IT Engineer you will be involved in all steps of the process, with special focus on gathering and safeguarding non-functional requirements like performance, stability, reliability and security of the system. 
 

The Controlling Grid is a relatively small grid which consists of 4 delivery teams and about 40 team members in the Netherlands and in India. The teams support different application but work together in building the best solutions for the Controllers. The applications of the Grid are currently on the Private Cloud that is managed by IBM (CMS) but we have just started the preparations for the migration of the applications to the Azure Cloud, which will offer great learning opportunities, including technical configuration of a Cloud environment, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
 

We are looking for a candidate with:

• 2+ years of experience in running and maintaining applications in MS SQL Server. Experience in running these applications on Azure or even migrating applications from CMS to Azure would be a bonus;
• Certificates in ITIL4, AZ-900 (Microsoft Azure Fundamentals) and AZ-104 (Microsoft Azure Administrator) or willing to get these;
• Experience in process management and process improvement;
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in both Dutch and English;
• Experience with setting up Access Management, Segregation of Duties, Authorization Matrices and Audits both technically and functionally;
• The ability to assess the non-functional aspects of a Solution and to challenge it when it does not meet bank standards;
