Do you have a strong understanding of data and can we agree that data is at the core of creating value for customers? And does solving complex data related cases make you happy? Then the Chief Architect and Data Management - Data Engineering group is the place for you!

Your job

To speed up and strengthen the digital transformation, we are searching for the best development engineers to join us. With joining us we mean that you help us:

•    Designing, implementing and supporting our Master Data Management Applications
•    Developing with Azure Native  and Commercial off the Shelf Tooling
•    Making fit for purpose data
•    Interacting with the whole organization: from business lines to other development blocks & grids
•    Innovate, experiment and help with setting up new technologies and structure and organize our code in a way that makes it sustainable and easy to change

As our Senior Data Engineer – Master Data Management you work together with other Development Engineers in small agile teams (6-8 women and men) within a DevOps culture. Here, you will work with the latest technology and tools to build your product which focusses on the Customer, Organization and Reference Master Data Management. The atmosphere is informal, and we’re ok with making ‘mistakes’ as long as everyone is open about it and learns from it. The teams are in constant collaboration with all business lines, international branches and subsidiaries of the bank. We all work together at the frontier of a major digital revolution and with the core value-assets of the organization.

We believe that the best results come from people putting their heads together to work out how to do things better and to put those ideas into practice. That’s where you come in: we’re looking for a talented colleague that uses and manages data to create value for our customers. As our employee, you are the foundation of a future-proof bank where you help us realize our purpose: banking for better, for generations to come. As a front runner in sustainability, we nurture our energetic culture and continue to invest in can-do, client-focused thinking and doing.

Working environment

With a combination of software & tools straight from the market leaders, and self-build top-of-the-line tooling, Data Engineering is the data heart of ABN AMRO.

We focus on:

  • turn data into value
  • take data driven decisions by means of all power data has to offer

The possibilities are vast. Building software is great, but creating value out of 7 petabytes of data is better! While this means we value our top-notch quality standard, you'll be surprised by the informal atmosphere in which we do this.
