At a glance

To strengthen the Client Acceptance delivery team (VD CA), we are looking for an enthusiastic, self-starting IT Engineer with a focus on OPS/Infra and proven track record to support our KYC processes.

Implementing and improving Fenergo as target-state tooling for KYC helps the bank to be compliant with KYC rules and regulations, but also to harmonise processes, rationalise our IT landscape, improve data quality, and generate relevant and reliable reporting. Overall, we contribute to preventing financial crime and with it, be trustworthy as a bank for our clients and society in general.

Our story: Detecting Financial Crime (DFC)

The world is changing rapidly and our role as gatekeeper changes with it. Derived from our purpose ‘Banking for better, for generations to come’, we strive for a sustainable, stable and safe financial system. Therefore, detection of ‘financial crime’ is a top priority for the bank.

Within DFC, different activities concerning detecting financial crime (money laundering, terrorist financing, corruption) have been merged into one organisation. Simply put, the CAR grid is the ‘IT supplier’ within DFC, servicing both the main bank in the Netherlands and our (Dutch and international) subsidiaries and challenger banks. By combining knowledge and expertise, we are better equipped to protect our bank systems against financial crime and implement new developments as well. In that context, ever-evolving technology represents both an opportunity and a threat. Not only does it help us to improve our investigative capabilities, it also enables organised crime to operate on a more advanced level. ‘Detecting financial crime’ is therefore an ‘ongoing process’ that demands the utmost in terms of our expertise and vigilance, day in day out.

Your work environment

Working within DFC means working at an organizational unit that is in full development and has grown strongly in the past year. In addition to your daily work, things such as (personal) development, vitality, inspiration, pleasure and involvement are important. All this contributes to the fact that we can -jointly- continue to build a successful organization. You are warmly invited to set an example for the team. Stimulating and motivating your team members is part of working together as a team.

We are a diverse team with team members of different ages, from different countries and from different backgrounds. The language of instruction is generally English. We organize ourselves in an agile / scrum way. We are a full-fledged DevOps team. A team that takes full responsibility for every step in the development and maintenance process of our IT systems; from requirements management to software maintenance.
