Designer in Utrecht

As an IT designer within the VodafoneZiggo Network Inventory domain, you will be involved in challenging projects and changes where together with our stakeholders, we are developing our fixed and mobile network and surroundings to bring the best possible service to our customers: maximum quality and speed, using the latest and finest technology.

This is how you do it
Our IT landscape facilitating these networks contain multiple applications, components and interfaces and is continuously enhanced, simplified and adapted to make sure we meet the expectations of our customers, both internal as well as external end customers. The IT designer takes ownership during the requirements phase, is responsible to deliver an end-to-end overview and documentation for an e2e solution can eventually be responsible for the proper detailed designing of the solution. The designer is asked to critically evaluate all options possible, be an important stakeholder to propose the solution and properly detail all specifications of the solution in project as well as baseline documentation.

Our Network Inventory landscape consists of quite a number of applications, integrating with even more other (external as well as internal) applications. You will also be working with a variety of stakeholders, from people directly involved in our network department, to B2B and B2C professionals.

We are truly working in a dynamic environment as technology is travelling faster than light, especially in this area. This also reflects in the way we are dealing with IT initiatives and we are at this moment transforming towards an agile way of working, also specifically within this Inventory domain. You’ve got what it takes 

• Knowledge of, and experience in the Telecommunications industry.
• Experience and, not less important, ambition in designing IT solutions, components and interfaces in the Network Inventory domain.
• Ability to understand and apply architectural guidelines and challenge/ propose alternatives where needed.
• Experience with requirements management.
• Be a teamplayer, feeling comfortable in multi skilled teams working in a agile setup.
• Be a knowledgeable spokesperson for our development and test colleagues.
• Excellent communication skills, preferrably dutch speaking.
• Be able to properly document solutions in our TopTeam project and baseline documentation repository.
• And last but not least: common and practical sense which can be translated towards best possible solutions!

Starting date: immediately, 32 - 40 hours per week. You have to be a Dutch resident. Your headquarters will be Central Office in Utrecht.
