The opportunity

Datacentre Centre of Excellence (DC CoE) is looking to expand by hiring a risk specialist with preferably experience in the field of data centres. DC CoE is part of the area Global Data Centres within the Global Tribe Data Centres and Network.

The team

The objective of DC CoE is to create a global data centre knowledge platform in which ING data centre services are described and globally shared. Within this global data centre platform, guidelines are defined, managed, and shared by DC CoE. These guidelines provide guidance and support to enable secure and high-quality data centre processes. DC CoE gathers and translates knowledge inside and outside ING, contributing and sharing best practices from both regulatory, risk and technical perspectives.

Roles and responsibilities

As a member of the DC CoE team, you will support further development and enhancements regarding data centre risk documentation. You will actively be involved in performing (globally) assessments on risk and data center services in accordance with the standards and policies within ING. You will support local management around the world with knowledge of data centres and risk items.

You will maintain and develop partnerships with:

- our data centres teams abroad, to assist them on all levels like performing risk assessments of data centres.

- our Risk and Corporate Audit Services (CAS) colleagues.

- our data centre operation teams in the Netherlands.

• Professional and intellectual ability at bachelors degree.

• An excellent knowledge of risk.

• Preferable experience with data centres; if not, then willing to follow courses on this topic.

• Analytical skills, e.g., to be able to understand complex information, to extract the essence and translate it into clear definitions.

• Natural self-motivation and drive to take end-to-end ownership.

• A can-do mindset.

• Stress-resistant, work under pressure with high management attention.

• Flexibility in working hours. We work 2 days a week from Rotterdam and 2 days from home.

• Self-driven, proactive and organized, with ability to identify what needs to be done.
