What we look for ING/Group Services is looking for a DEV engineer to strengthen its development team in the Credit Risk domain. If you want to work at a place where we believe that you can live by the agile manifesto without jeopardizing the necessary continuity, compliance and QA measures, where we are committed to deliver stable and secure services to end users, and where we have a 'no nonsense' getting-things done mentality, please read on.

 Your main focus
  • Implementing models in the new SAS Viya environment to meet the regulatory requirements and reduce the time to market.
  • Implementation of the credit risk models as part of credit risk model governance. These are key drivers for capital calculations and reporting.
  • Meeting changing customer expectations and increasing regulatory requirements on the speed, transparency and impact of the decisions we take. 
  • Comply with the IT security Standards.
  • Build scalable deployment pipelines, to support Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
  • Create and maintain the development environment and tools used to code solutions.
  • Automate test and make it part of the design, code, build and release process.
  • Help Credit Risk to make big steps to the future. Enhance the CI/CD maturity, move to a containerized environment, prepare for the move to the public cloud etc.

Your work environment You will work in the IT organization of COO Risk and Finance. You will be part of the FitLab squad delivering IT solutions and services for the Credit Risk Tribe. The FitLab squad operates according to the Scrum Agile development process. The focus is on high-quality secure-critical software delivered in time. The key development technologies used are SAS Viya, Python and Oracle 19. The Azure DevOps is the single solution used for version control, build, release etc.

 Profile (skills & competences) We are looking for a person who:
  • Is a software developer and/or engineer for more than 10 years
  • Has generic IT knowledge about IT processes and platforms, e.g. OTAP, API, processing bottlenecks, threading etc
  • Holds general knowledge of business analytics. e.g. concepts of descriptive/predictive/prescriptive analytics, Data Mining process etc.
  • Is experienced in SAS; SAS Viya Platform (CAS, MAS etc) and/or SAS Studio and/or SAS Model Manager and/or SAS Intelligent Decisioning and/or SAS Base programming and/or SAS DS2 programming
  • Holds database development experience (preferably Oracle 19)
  • Knows what CI/CD is and has used related tools in the past (preferably Azure DevOps)
  • Has implemented test automation in the past
  • Has Agile way of working experience
  • Is fluent in English (this is the working language)
  • Has a flexible mindset and is able to handle ‘change of plan’
  • Is curious and is willing to investigate and ‘find out what is unknown’
  • Has a result driven mindset
  • Thinks in concepts (parts, whole, boundaries, scope)
  • Is self-organizing / self-starting and acts instead of waits
  • Is a team player and a coherent communicator

It would be nice to have:
  • Python or another object oriented programming language
  • Experience with creation of REST API’s and working with JSON files
  • Experience with risk modelling within banking
