Product Owner OnePAM

ING needs Masters of Data to redefine banking. What about you?

ING is rapidly transforming from a traditional bank into a next-generation digital bank. Trusted data is at the heart of this strategy of becoming a data-driven digital leader.  That’s is why ING has developed the TouchPoint Platform. The GCDM Tribe is responsible for delivering the Global Party, Agreement and Reference Data services and solutions on the TouchPoint Platform.

For our Tribe Global Customer Data Management (GCDM) we are looking for a Product Owner to join the Photons feature squads. Our feature squads are able to fulfil internal consumer needs in a one-stop-shop-way by delivering business services that help building customer processes. We do this by understanding the customer journey, changing the API, updating the notifications, preparing the IBM MDM Infosphere transaction and fully productising the new product feature. The current scope of this feature squad is focussed on access profiles, which are a key building block to steer customer experience across ING channels. Access Profiles provide a basic framework in which Individuals can act with ING, secure the use of permissions and a vehicle to connect additional functionality to a customer profile.

The Tribe Global Customer Data Management (GCDM) contributes to the ING strategy by delivering the customer data management business functions and solutions which are a precondition for creating real-time global processes, and state of the art customer-centric reporting and analysis.

The Product Owner converts market developments and customer feedback in his/her field of expertise into concrete and usable capabilities for ING with a concrete roadmap. In the GCDM Tribe the PO and the Customer Journey Expert (CJE) work closely together and are able to replace each other. The PO and the CJE have the same Job-Career-Framework-profile (CJE Universal IV) where the PO has an additional role to manage the squad backlog. Both should be able to define the “what” side of change, i.e. analysing and detailing requirements. The PO communicates with all stakeholders in the chain to inform them of the schedule and priorities and discuss requirements and priorities. The PO and CJE are responsible for ensuring the squad has an exact understanding of the business needs, involved process and involved user stories. Once the delivery of functionality is complete, the PO checks the quality of the deliverables.

The Access Profile solution is a new global business service in development and this needs a strong and experienced product Owner who is able to create a solid product vision and translate this into a clear and achievable roadmap that guides delivery of the squad.  The PO plays an active part in the team's improvement sessions and works continuously to improve processes, based on facts and figures relating to the key performance indicators.

This squad is located in Amsterdam. Because of the global scope of GCDM traveling to other ING locations can be part of the assignment. Successful remote collaboration skills are key.

The team

The PO will hierarchically report to the Tribe’s PO Chapter where the craftmanship and best practises are shared among the PO’s of the Tribe, aligned and further developed. Functionally the PO is part of the squad and works in close connection with the Product Area Lead on delivering value.

The PO that we are looking for will work from home and our office in Amsterdam. Because of the global scope of our services collaboration with other ING locations is part of the assignment. When needed and more effective traveling to countries can be part of your job.
