Do you a have a passion for sponsorships and events? Do you want to help the team of ING to create differentiating brand experiences all around the world? We offer you this opportunity with an internship at the global sponsoring and events team, where you will be working on creating brand experiences for employees, clients and other stakeholders every day.

We’re not like other banks. We know banking isn’t something people want to spend all their time thinking about. Not in a world that has kite surfing, cat shows, football matches, business plans, going to college, roller coasters, inventions, parenthood, sculpture classes, family vacations, and a zillion other more interesting things. It is all about people being free to focus on what matters most to them knowing that, whether in their private or professional lives, they can make their world a little better for it.
Our team is part of the Global Centre of Expertise Communications and Brand Experience and is based at the ING Cedar office in Amsterdam Zuid-Oost. Our responsibilities are twofold: at one hand we need to make sure that all sponsoring & event departments within the ING countries are aligned with our brand direction do your thing and at the other hand we organise flagship events ourselves.
We organise events, brand and sponsorship activations (from global conferences to high level business events) for a wide range of departments within ING, servicing internal and external audiences. What we organise here at the global team, we organise at a high level and from A to Z. Meaning we develop concepts, we understand the content, we advise, we own the pre & post communications around our activities and are responsible for all the logistics (e.g. scouting suitable locations, align with third party suppliers for audio visual arrangements, decoration, entertainment, security, external speakers, write detailed minute to minute scripts, deal with the financials etc.). In the current environment we are also organising high level digital events which can be compared to real TV productions. For the brand alignment with the countries, we have set up clear global sponsoring guidelines and do your thing activation labels.
During your internship you will be part of the team and will work with the team on all our activities (> 100) on an annual basis).
Who are you?
We are looking for an enthusiastic student, who will take it on and make it happen!
• You are an HBO or WO student in the area of Events, Sponsoring, Marketing, Communication, (international) Business or Leisure management,
• You are pro-active and have a hands-on mentality,
• You have passion for branding, events and preferably have affinity with technology,
• You are flexible and have no 9 to 5 mentality,
• You are a self-starter, able to work independently and take responsibility,
• You have good communication skills,
• You have a good command of the Dutch and English language (in writing and speaking),
• You can easily work with the MS Office package (Word, Excel & PowerPoint, MS Teams and Sharepoint),
• You have an open mind-set and you think in solutions rather than problems,
• You are sharp, accurate and stress resistant.

With joint efforts from both us and you as intern, we will shape your internship to maximise learning and make the best of your time at ING. However you are the one who needs to take it on and make it happen!
