Through Orange Juice, designers, engineers, and customer journey experts can collaborate, contribute and retrieve high-quality assets ready to use reducing the time to market for new products and services. What you deliver can impact all digital ING products.
Orange Juice is built by a central cross-functional team of designers and engineers located in The Netherlands, Germany, and the Philippines. The team works in close collaboration with business, corporate, and technology stakeholders worldwide.
The mission of Orange Juice is to support the execution of ING strategy, by creating and distributing elements (e.g., components, guidelines) fulfilling the ambition of providing our digital customers with a differentiating experience at each interaction and across every digital channel.

Your work environment
You work in ING’s Touchpoint program, created to deliver ING’s build once use many times strategy. Touchpoint evolves around Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Web libraries, Mobile SDKs and a Unified Design System: building on performant and accessible front-end web-components. We believe it will help ING to accelerate innovation and collaboration with partners, customers, and platforms to improve customer experiences and create new business models. The key to success is our internal portal, which enables parties to connect and create value in an easy, secure, and scalable way.
Your key responsibilities and qualifications
As part of our Unified Design System Development Team.
You have experience with UI components and modular-based architecture, e.g. understand their lifecycles etc.
You have competent knowledge of Accessibility, Security, Performance.
You are good with TDD, BDD, and testing tools such as Mocha, Chai, Selenium, Karma, etc...
You are familiar with frameworks or libraries such as Web Components, Vue and React, etc...
Experience with NodeJS scripting / tooling
A thorough understanding of NPM
You have experience with continuous delivery and deployment tools for front-end, preferably Azure DevOps.
You have experience with front-end build tools like Webpack and Rollup.
You keep up to date on the latest technical developments relating to industry standards and best practices.
You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
You have strong communication skills and easily engage with customers.
You have excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
