The opportunity

Are you up for a challenge and ready for a change? As a Business Engineer you are responsible of engaging with domain experts and business stakeholders to capture requirements and specifying them in a financial domain specific language. You have a strong background in banking, business and information analysis of the banking domain, such as payments core banking and/or trade finance. Experience in Trade Finance and Working Capital Solutions (Supply Chain Finance, Receivables Finance, Asset Based Finance) is preferred. You have the expertise to design information systems, define financial processes and able to decompose a complex set of business processes in separate domains. You can translate functional requirements into specifications and perform mappings between external formats to our internal formats (ISO and non-ISO formats).

You will be liaising with the DevOps Engineers to further advance our toolset and platform to generate and run financial applications. You have abstract thinking and good communication skills are key as well as a ”take it on and make it happen” mentality. Last but not least, like all our team members, you have a strong drive to bring this initiative to the next level.

The team

This team works on an initiative to change the way software is developed for financial institutions.  You will be working in a very motivated team with different kinds of functional and technical expertise to build our end-to-end solution. We cover the full cycle of the software development process: analysis, design, development, integration, testing, implementation, release, operations and maintenance.

Roles and responsibilities

As a Business Engineer you will:

• Engaging with business users and domain experts as well with DevOps Engineers
• Modelling of business processes into specifications according to our toolset
• Testing the functionality after generation of the applications
• Improving the toolset and platform based on requirements collected
• Implementing the solution and embed it within the environment of our clients
• Be curious to investigate new language features and design future-proof solutions.

• 8+ years hands-on experience in business and information analysis in a banking environment
• Experience with bringing business critical financial applications to production
• Have good communication and writing skills
• Have good presentation skills
• Able to handle different situations from workflow to C-level
• Have abstract thinking skills
• Strong team player and experience in working with teams in and across sites
