ING is looking for a Non-Financial Risk specialist / Feature Engineer

ING DB NL/CIO is looking for a passionate and inspiring Non-Financial Risk specialist / Feature Engineer with a IT risk profile.

As Non-Financial Risk specialist / Feature Engineer you work on challenging IT Risk & Security activities ensuring the ING Market Leader applications and processes are and remain safe and compliant, at a bank that is known for its IT innovations and has a primarily focus on Risk & Security.

In the function of Feature Engineer your main focus will be

to help the engineering squads and the CoE ITRS within Market Leaders NL, to improve their way of working with in the IT risk area and make a positive impact on their daily work.

You will fulfil this goal by:

• Supporting improvement initiatives for various risk areas like Risk automation projects, Automated risk reporting, Tool implementation, etc.
• Improving Risk Awareness within Market Leaders by implementing and executing a structural communication plan
• Implementing an ING Learning environment for Risk & Security topics
• Implementing various channels for knowledge sharing for Risk & Security topics
• Implementing a transparent governance and way of work within CoE ITRS
• Coaching the teams within the COE ITRS in the agile way of work
• Working together with and supporting the Risk SPOCs within Market Leaders
• Initiating improvements for the various risk areas, audits and policies
• Keeping track and communicating all changes and updates on risk policies to relevant stakeholders.
• Supporting the engineering squads in maintaining the risk scores on the target levels, where possible reduce and/ or mitigate the various risks

Your working Environment:

In the ING CoE IT Risk & Security DB NL, we take responsibility for IT Risk & Security within Domestic Bank focussing on creating a Safe & Compliant bank.

As Non-Financial Risk specialist / Feature Engineer you will liaise with all levels of defence in ING’s risk model ranging from engineers, management and CISO in the first line, Information Risk Officers and policy makers in the 2nd line to auditors in the 3rd line. You will maintain this relations to build a safe, secure and compliant bank with a detailed focus on IT Risk & Security.

ING works in multi-disciplinary teams based on Scrum, Agile and DevOps principles. Responsibility for Infra and Security is adapted within the squads, business & IT have joined, making a squad end-to-end responsible for a customer journey or product. The skillset you need to have:

• A degree in computer science or a comparable education on an academic level
• Experience with IT development, IT OPS and automation (For instance Java,  JavaScript, Python or other languages)
• Certification like CISSP,CISM, CRISC are a pre
• People management skills
• Coaching skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong communicational skills
• Speaking and writing the English language is a must have.  
• Speaking the Dutch language is a pre
