The opportunity
ING's Cloud is one of the main initiatives contributing to the Think Forward Strategy. It’s the first step toward helping ING produce the same products and services throughout the entire world. The Cloud is set up to simplify and streamline current processes, first by simplifying the infrastructure landscape through standardization. It is also to improve and encourage ING performance culture by creating a highly engaged workforce that embraces the new technology.
The team
Tech Infra’s purpose is to build the single digital platform to enable ING to operate as One. You contribute to this goal because you are passionate about Cloud technology and the opportunities it offers to become that single digital platform. Acting as the first point of contact and connect our consumers with the right people within IT infrastructure is something you naturally do. You are a sparring partner for CIOs / COOs, are able to support them in their onboarding plans and can educate and train their teams how to consume the Cloud in a self-service and DevOps way.
Roles and responsibilities
Drive the onboarding of our Infra consumers to the Cloud in order for ING to build that single digital platform. You will do this by:
Acting as a sparring partner for CIOs / COOs
Explain what opportunities Cloud offers
Support and challenge leadership to translate these opportunities into their Cloud onboarding plans
Jointly work on organisational impediments that prevent onboarding the Cloud
Help resolve country and business line specific issues that are faced
Teaching and training consumers
Teach all levels of the organisation about the Cloud, it’s principles and possibilities
Train teams how to consume the self-service Cloud offerings in a DevOps way
Connecting consumers to Infra
Help consumers get in touch with the right people within Infra to align on their Cloud demand
Explain our Quarterly Business Review (QBR) to consumers, so it’s clear for them what to expect and what not to expect

Professional and intellectual IT ability at university level - at least Bachelor's degree
A good view on Cloud technologies and is able to transfer that knowledge
A track record in stakeholder management on all levels
Empathy when working with people from different backgrounds and cultures
Experience acting as a sparring partner for senior management
Passionate about customer experience
Proficient knowledge in spoken and written English
