Chapterlead – User Acceptance Testing

The opportunity

We are looking for a Chapter Lead for our User Acceptance Testing (UAT) team. As Chapter Lead for the UAT team within the products department, you are responsible for the team of approx. 6-9 testers. Together with the user acceptance testers in your chapter, you set-up, maintain and develop the landscape. Together with the Tribe Leadership, you shape the long term perspective and share a collective responsibility to improve ING’s performance by organizing the personal development, expertise and craftsmanship of the chapter members. It is expected that this will take around 50% of your time. For the remaining 50% of your time, you will work on acceptance testing for our payments processing for all business lines within ING, both Wholesale and Retail.

The team

Payments and Settlement Utility consist of the following areas

  • The Tech line within the Utility is responsible for building, maintaining & running the payment processing and Bank liquidity forecasting systems.
  • Operations, performs the role of Global Functional Lead for all operations, utility processes and services.
  • Products is responsible for the development and maintenance of the standard Banking Payments proposition, building propositions to attract external volumes and consolidation of the volumes within ING. The products department consists of:
    • Order Management & SWIFT area
    • Processing Area
    • UAT team support the Utility and its (internal) clients with UAT testing.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Your primary responsibility is to facilitate, support and motivate your chapter members.
  • You strengthen the ‘ING way of working’ while promoting the ‘orange code’ as a role model.
  • You will be responsible for coaching and the step-up performance cycle (on both a personal and professional level) of the chapter members, so that they get the best out of themselves in the areas of testing and payments processing.
  • Where appropriate, you maintain contacts with stakeholders and external parties.

Proven track record and technical skills

  • Extensive knowledge of, and experience with international payments business: SEPA CT, SEPA DD, SEPA Instant, International Payments, PSD2, Clearing Houses, SWIFT and ISO20020 standard.
  • Good knowledge of test tooling: ALM, UFT, Azure Test Plan, Selenium
  • Minimal 5 years hands on experience with structured functional and user testing in a complex environment of multiple payment systems
  • Experience with working with different stakeholders in an international environment
  • Flexible and hands on mentality. Strong motivation to achieve deadlines both personal and with the team environment with many and continuous changes. Mentality to go for the extra mile.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English
