Your role and work environment
Data Management is one of the foundation topics of the Think Forward strategy to become one digital bank. The Chief Data Management Office (CDMO) is aiming to take ING's data management capabilities to the next level by designing and implementing a data management strategy that stipulates how we want to govern data throughout the bank.
Key components for bringing all of the bank’s data under governance are:
• Implement a uniform data governance throughout ING
• Uniformly measure the quality of data
• Use of uniform policies and processes around data
The Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Protection CoE consists of three teams and governs and assures the Data Management framework, the Data Quality Framework, as well as the Protection and Ethics of Data related activities. The COE sets out the regulatory or data management minimum standards, drives common structures and provides knowledge. Important Key Control Test for BCBS239 are performed, as well as the quality of data in AnaCredit, KYC as well as risk & finance data sets. Also the Global Data Protection Programmes is part of this COE.

As an (Senior) Implementation Manager you are driving the transformation of data governance, data quality and data protection processes throughout ING and empower and support the different business units with the implementation of these processes and process control standards. You are responsible for the execution of the roadmap and co-ordination of the related initiatives. You are an energetic, motivating person who can work with cross-border teams and who can also work independently, think and act out of the box and take accountability. And you contribute to the ING One Agile Way of Working and safeguard the Orange Code.
Your key responsibilities
As (Senior) Implementation Manager:
- You have a proficient understanding and experience in ING’s Data Management domain
- You work and act rapidly based on intuition and are a strong conceptual thinker
- You make connections between current events and the corporate strategy or the longer-term vision. Ensures that a common strategy to support the data governance transition agenda is created and documented in close alignment with the respective stakeholders/ business partners
- You are part of developing the (CoE) strategy and communicate it an inspiring manner
- You challenge business cases, approaches and end goals, adjust if necessary, and anticipates on strategic opportunities and threats
- You co-ordinate the definition of the multi-year (local and global) data governance roadmap and the stages towards the target solution and processes
- You drive the execution of the data management implementation roadmap and manages the portfolio of running initiatives for it
- You prepare and facilitate decision making and agreements, and ensures that all relevant stakeholders are involved on local and global level.
- You monitor progress of the delivery of the theme and solution and you pro-actively update the stakeholders on issues and progress
- You adjusts roadmap/solution in response to changing needs, gears between high level portfolio roadmap and investment theme
- You challenge and inspire on purpose and solution, persuades fact based to come to realize the business benefits
- You make an optimal use of your professional network in and outside the organisation
- You master and support the process of learning to help others to be successful
- You stimulate the organisations to collect and share best practices and you assure that lessons learned and best practises are incorporated in the organisation
- Act as a role model within the organisation by guiding behavioural change and leveraging on interventions to lead the way

Skillset:
- Master/Bachelor degree
- Proven record of relevant change execution experience.
- Experience in driving and steering projects on feature level
- A personality and the capabilities to function effectively within an Agile environment
- Basic / generic knowledge of Data Governance and DAMA/DMBoK
- Basic / generic knowledge of Banking organisation and processes is a pre
- Excellent level of English
