Position: Customer Journey Expert – Chief Product Owner

Background

The Global CISO organisation of ING is responsible to assist ING management, business and other tribes in providing customer friendly services in a safe and secure way. Business leaders and CISO are jointly responsible for bank-wide security. CISO is mandated to drive required change in all domains, business and IT.

Security Detection and Response is responsible for the identification and detection of cyber-attacks on the ING landscape and the subsequent resolution of such security incidents. SDR is additionally responsible for the Global Intelligence Centre (GIC) who’s work it is to build and maintain external relationships which provide ING with threat intelligence information to proactively assist in the identification of threats. With focused expertise in the areas of security incidents response, security detection and data leakage prevention, SDR delivers on strategic roadmaps in these areas

The CPO – DLP is responsible for initiating epics / features to develop and improve Data Leakage Prevention. Steering the product owner(s) and squad in the tribe, he or she is actively involved in ensuring the maintenance, development and realisation of new and existing products / services / functionalities for (end) users. As an expert, he or she will deliver all the necessary business know how and skills within the squad to realise the squads shared purpose, day by day.

The CPO - DLP:

- combines product management and security or data expertise;

- will mainly take the role of an end-consumer representative;

- ensures that the end-consumer’s experience is recognised by the Squad;

- is able to approve the change and will, in case of an existing product, also take care of the further development of a product by initiating new Epics, Features and Stories;

In addition the CPO is responsible for maintaining contact with external stakeholders and for alignment and backlog management of the squads.

Key Responsibilities

The Chief Product Owner is the operational lead for the relevant processes and is responsible for

  • Managing development and deployment of new and existing products and services
  • Identifying functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholders
  • Acting as point of contact for indented consumers of new and existing product
  • Developing vision and roadmap for new and existing product in line with the department and global CISO strategy
  • Structuring, prioritizing and coordinating the overall backlogs – across squads (i.e. addressing functional and non-functional requirements)
  • Maintaining relations with the country and business unit leaders to ensure effectiveness of the products and services
  • Acting as the overall end to end process expert
  • Reporting on progress and risks of project/program to the Head of and other stakeholders

Audit & Compliance

  • Ensures compliance of the new and existing products/services to applicable standards and regulation (ECB etc)

Requirements

Proven track record and technical skills:

  • Master’s degree in Cybersecurity , computer science, data or comparable degree
  • Professional experience in data science, data modelling, and/or information security & fraud management experience
  • Solid understanding of (security) data analytics, quantitative modelling of data and data research
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering security or data services, e.g. security monitoring, incident and crisis management, threat intelligence etc.
  • Experience with Microsoft DLP solutions is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of current security technologies and emerging trends in this area
  • Good understanding of finance aspects and budgeting cycle
  • Working knowledge of pertinent law and regulations
  • Expertise in driving and steering multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as good negotiation and change management skills
  • Can demonstrate success in establishing relationships and influencing decision-making
  • Ability to take responsibility, steer strategy and realisations based on facts and data; managerial courage to question and make decisions
  • Ability to empower teams to act autonomously, think out of the box and hold them accountable
  • Ability to simplify complexity and drive operational excellence
  • Ability to support yourself and other team members in development
  • Excellent level of English
  • Experience in a financial environment is a plus
