Job description:

The Information Architect:

• Takes part in creating Reference Architectures and Cookbooks
• Takes part in transformational changes across multiple platforms and domains. Ensures the optimal internal Architecture and Roadmaps for the Information domain
• Develops ‘maintained’ IT standard solutions into global reusable components and drive the usage
• Contributes to and monitors Standards, Rules, and Guidelines
• Designs Information Architecture and interaction patterns
• Safeguards the cross dependencies between domains
• Manages stakeholders across multiple local departments up to senior management level
• Is the Go-to person for Engineers, Architects and Managers for architecture advise within the area of responsibility
• Has substantial knowledge of multiple (new) technologies, products, business processes or architecture
• Creates structured documents and visualizations that are easily understandable for engineers
• Coaches and develops more junior colleagues
• Thoroughly understands the Security requirements for his domain. Defines mitigations to be built into the Information domain architecture design and principles
• Maintains (strategic) supplier relationships with one or more suppliers in his own domain

Your work environment:

You will be working within the department Group Services / Enterprise Architecture and reporting to the Chapter lead of GS/EA/Information Architecture. The team consists of 9 Information Architects covering the different functional areas. The team has the architectural responsibility for supporting multiple domains of Tech.

We are looking for someone with at least 2-3 years of experience in the Data/Information domain. You have a proven track record in managing (complex) change, in ICT in general and specifically in the Information landscape. You can efficiently create (high level) design/architectural products that are needed to facilitate management decisions. You can translate business strategy and requirements in business, information, and technology architecture deliverables. You can act as a trusted advisor on a senior management level. Understanding different information products including but not limited to data modelling, Information Warehouse and Data Lake is a must. Understanding of data models’ creation process, metadata and governance is an advantage.

You align your architecture vision with the long-term IT vision and the business strategy. You like complex analysis, and you can identify and use the different forces that exist in the organization. You can work independently and coach more junior colleagues. You have good communication skills, and you are persuasive.
