Your role and work environment: Core Bank NL

The IT area of Core Bank NL is responsible for creating, maintaining and improving our reliable Account Management System (AMS) of the bank, used for current-accounts, savings and loans accounts.

An important goal is realising a real-time bank which is 24/7 available for all our customers.

Who are we looking for?

We look for an experienced Java DevOps engineer who can take our development team to the next level.

You will take the lead in designing and implementing new applications taking the following aspects into account:

• High available

• Low latency

• Secure by design

Moreover, we look for an engineer with modern day engineering skills and competences like an eye for innovation, creativity, attention to details and communication.

Your education, experience and background:

• Bachelor / Master degree

• You have a pro-active and hands-on attitude; you speak up about your ideas

• You have experience with working in a complex and challenging IT environment

• You have experience in an Agile/Scrum/Dev/Ops team

• You are experienced in Java, and you enjoy coming up with solutions

• Excellent knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and Design Patterns

• Excellent knowledge of Java 11, Git, Maven

• Good skills in writing unit and integration tests

• Experience with projects within the Spring Framework, like Spring Boot and Spring MVC

• Knowledge of Micro-Services architecture, dispersion services, scalability, container technologies: Docker, OpenShift

• Excellent level of English.

• Performance/Capacity/Availability Monitoring knowledge of well-known tools in this area (Grafana, Prometheus, etc.) is a big bonus

• Experience with performance testing (Gatling).

• Experience and thorough understanding of (test) automation, continuous delivery, deployment tools, and pipelines. We work with Git, Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, Ansible, Checkmarx, Azure Artifacts

• Great analytical skills and conceptual/architectural understanding, ability to quickly understand new technical concepts that are outside of your comfort zone

• The ability to transfer knowledge back to the ING Bank by holding presentations, workshops, documentation, and most important: setting new standards for the ways we do tech

• Experience with working in multidisciplinary teams and agile way of working

• To handle application risk controls efficiently, proactively contributing to preventing security and operational risks.
