Senior Front-End Engineer in Amsterdam

ING is looking for an experienced Front-End Developer for the Loyalty squad.
As Senior Front-End Developer, you'll be responsible for maintaining the Loyalty platform, adding new features, testing and deploying those features and fixing issues. You'll work with the development team, as well as UX/UI designers and graphic designers. You'll work closely with our back-end and full-stack developers to deliver a consistent and reliable web experience. You'll work with our designers to improve usability for our customers.

We are:

ING Bank’s Loyalty squad and we are responsible for the "ING Punten" shop, an ING specific webshop. The webshop consists of a frontend in lit-html in which customers can browse the store and order products and a backend that will handle orders, returns, stock, etc. 

You are:

A highly motivated engineer who likes to work in a multidisciplinary team of engineers and business colleagues. You have modern day engineering skills and competences like an eye for innovation, creativity and attention to details. You are a hardcore JavaScript developer who has experience with Web Components concepts, lit-html and lit-element.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
• 8+ years of Front-End development experience.
• A hardcore JavaScript developer with extensive experience in developing Front-End applications with JavaScript (ES5/ES6), HTML, CSS and HTML. 
• Extensive knowledge in Front-End frameworks and experience in developing Web Components using preferably lit-html/lit-element.
• Strong skills working in a full-stack environment with rest API’s.
• Experience in design and development of secure and high-performance applications.
• Experience in Front-End design patterns and architecture.
• Having good experience in web testing stack - Karma, Chai, Sinon, Jasmine.
• Familiar with Continuous Integration tools and platforms like: GIT, Yarn, NPM, Bower, Azure.
• Familiar with Micro Front-End strategies.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience in Agile / Scrum.
