Senior DevOps Engineer - Security Systems in Amsterdam

ING/TECH/Group Services is looking for a senior Engineer with a passion for IT Networks and infrastructure, preferably within Security management and physical access control applications, to support the Security services for ING’s Head Quarter and Branche offices, offered by Corporate Real Estate and Facility Services (CREFSNL).

As senior Engineer you act as subject expert for all IT related matters regarding the ING’s physical access control applications. You act as sparring partner for our business partner, CREFS NL, and align with internal and external stakeholders. Compliancy of the IT solutions to our IT Risk & security requirements is an important key driver.

As senior member of the GS/CREFS NL squad, you lead by example towards the (junior) squad members, showing a positive ‘can do’ attitude, striving for continuous improvement of yourselves, as well as the squad. Helping others to be successful and being one step ahead are important pillars of your approach.
 

What will you do

Your main tasks are:

• Support/coordinate complex network changes/Infra changes, e.g. requesting firewall changes, upgrading to higher versions of platforms
• Technical application management, upgrading/patching window servers, upgrading applications to higher versions and maintain the databases of our applications
• Perform/support (automated) testing, facilitate and support user acceptance testing for new releases
• Ensure the applications to operate by secure and flawless operations while ensuring regulatory compliance

• Participate in the Devops team’s ceremonies; act as role model for other (junior) squad members
• Anticipate and balance the needs of multiple internal and external stakeholders. Work to identify all relevant issues and define business requirements for the development of products and services
• Maneuvers comfortably through complex policy, process, and people-related organizational dynamics

 How to succeed/Desired skills & experience

We are looking for a candidate with:

• Bachelor or Master degree

• 3+ years hands on of professional experience in a complex IT (infra) environment
• Preferable knowledge of/experience with security & physical access solutions
• Strong change management capabilities. Proactively validate with the users the added value and identify new opportunities, features and improvements.
• Demonstrable knowledge/experience of Networks/Network design, routing protocols and network devices
• Knowledge/expertise with (technical) application and database management like Windows, Citrix, SQL
• Knowledge of Microsoft products like O365 and Azure  
• Experience with tooling as: IT Risk management Framework, Nessus (Vulnerability scanning), Troux (Life Cycle management)
• Solid knowledge of IT risk & Security 
• Proven experience with working in Devops teams
• Communicate in English (verbal and writing)
• Proven hands-on mentality and an easy learner of new IT topics
